SP Motion Design
Whether honoring WWII veterans or explaining the benefits of genetic testing to cancer patients, it all starts with a story. Visual storytelling uses a language that is as old as the ancients. So if motion graphics is a visual language, what is the process to crafting a meaningful message? Asking the question ”Why is this significant?” is a good place to start. Researching the subject, knowing your audience and cross pollinating ideas are some of the essential ingredients to answering that question. Thinking wide, not just deep helps to form a creative strategy.
Motion graphic design has many components that are composited together. Videos, images, effects , 2D and 3D animations are some of the elements. Each element has its own pros and cons for a particular project. For example, animation's biggest strength over video is its ability to illustrate an abstract concept or explain material too big or too small to shoot with a camera. Most of the time a combination of assets needs to be used.
When crafting your message, it’s only as good as your ability to connect, teach and share.
